WHEY PROTEIN POWDER AND ITS USES

If you take a walk in the protein powders section in your health food store, you see that there are different varieties of powders to choose from, which is always confusing to be able to choose which type of protein powder is best for you. I love to take whey protein powder after my workout. So what is Whey Protein? It is the protein contained in the watery portion of the milk which usually gets separated from the curd while making cheese. Whey protein is a great alternative for people who follow a dairy free diet. It controls the cholesterol levels in the body and is a great supplement for people trying to lose weight. It boosts the immune system and is a great protein to include in your daily life. Whey protein helps in weight loss and at the same time preserves the muscle. It is a great option to build lean muscle and shed off the excess body fat. Can you believe that whey protein has the ability to reduce your hunger levels? Yes, whey protein reduces the levels of a hormone called ghrelin for up to 4 hours, which is responsible for indicating your brain that you are healthy. So whenever you feel hungry, snack on the whey protein bars or treat yourself to a protein shake. This way, you will be able to control your mind from diverting onto unhealthy food options. Regular consumption of whey protein powder can reduce the risk of exposure to certain types of cancer like prostrate and colon. Whenever you are feeling sad, just go and grab a whey protein shake. Yes, I have noticed several times that whenever I drink whey protein shake, I feel good and find myself in a better mood. Observing that, I researched on it over internet and found an interesting theory behind that. Whey protein effects the brain serotonine changes and therefore keeps you in a good mood. One of my favorite whey protein powders I am loving recently is the one by Summit Nutritions. I found this one on Amazon and the company has sent me a few samples for free to try before purchasing it. I got this in Dutch Chocolate flavor and I should confess, I am very much obsessed with the taste and I find myself craving for it. The chocolaty aroma makes your day and it tastes light and delicious. Unlike other protein powders that I have tried, this one is not so thick and it goes down the throat smoothly. I mix a scoop of it in my morning smoothie and it is awesome! The best part is that it is a NON-GMO product, Kosher certified. Since it it made with good quality amino acids, it has no protein complex and no amino acid spiking. Each serving gives about 25 gms of protein and has no sugar, cholesterol or fat added.
